River Update Meetings
River Update Meetings (RUMs) are public workshops to discuss the implementation of the Los Angeles River Revitalization Master Plan (LARRMP).
At the RUM workshops, City staff provides progress reports and hears public feedback on topics that include:
- The Los Angeles River Improvement Overlay (LA-RIO) District
- The Los Angeles River Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Los Angeles County Flood Control District
- The Los Angeles River Revitalization Corporation
- The Los Angeles River Foundation
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles River Ecosystem Restoration Feasibility Study
- The status of River projects, grant applications, and achievements/awards
Public input has been a critical component of the process of drafting and adopting the LARRMP, and we look forward to continued public participation during its implementation.
